ANU School of Music Streaming Sounds

Welcome from the Head of School

In Concert Blog on August 6, 2009 at 2:09 pm

Welcome to the ANU School of Music’s Streaming Sounds. This exciting new initiative is part of the School’s plan to engage broadly, boldly and effectively with our communities locally, nationally and internationally. Through this online presence we will be able to function as a ‘hub’ within this region helping to develop an open forum for creative and educational exchanges and collaborations.

As part of this first Streaming Sounds concert we will also be launching our new degree, the Bachelor of Professional Music Practice. This innovative new degree will allow students to gain a range of skills that will enable them to work successfully as a 21st century music professional. Areas of specialisation will include Arts and Music Management, Instrumental Pedagogy and Creative Recording Practice.

I hope you enjoy the unique experience of Streaming Sounds and look forward to meeting you at Llewellyn Hall, or interacting with you on the World Wide Web.

Professor Adrian Walter AM

  2. Hi,

I love your website and the idea you have all had to bring the concert at the School of Music to the world stage. I hope it is the start of many more exciting events for the School, it’s staff and students.
